Fresh Start Housing Service (FSHS) offers accommodation to those less fortunate than ourselves. Our mission is to see everyone have a place they can call home.
We have three category’s of the clients we help:
Fresh Start Sober Homes (FSSH) is a housing service in Sheffield for people in recovery from substance abuse. The service offers low – medium support during office hours for as long as it take to get them back on there feet We house and support clients that have a minimum of 12 weeks total abstinence in one of our Sober Houses.
Fresh Start Housing Service understands that being homeless doesn’t always mean you’re sleeping rough. Our services are also for people who are without settled, safe or secure accommodation – you may be sofa surfing, threatened with eviction or where you’re living may be unsuitable for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, Fresh Start Housing Services offer accommodation to people and families in housing crisis.
At Fresh Start Housing Service (FSHS), we understand the importance of stable accommodation in helping offenders to move on from crime. FSHS is a registered provider with substantial experience of providing supported housing and resettlement services to offenders direct from prison, those on community sentences, and those at risk of offending.
We will help you fulfil your potential to grow and develop. Working with our friendly staff we will help you address all of your life domains. Recovery, Mental, Emotional, Physical, Social, Family, Employment are areas we will help you address directly. Setting goals, maintaining consistency and progress.
Our accommodation is mostly covered via Housing Benefit however, this will depend on a client’s own financial circumstances. there is a small charge for those receiving Housing Benefits which ranges from property to property. The amount and variance of amounts falling due are normally to do with benefit types, financial circumstances, accommodation type, and any other entitlement assessments.
Fresh Start Housing Services philosophy of support is to give each individual to whom we offer a service the best possible opportunity to gain the skills and confidence necessary to enable them to play an active role within the community and go on to live productive clean sober lives.
